Outreach Ministries
As the living body of Christ, we know that we are called to share the love and grace we have first received through Jesus. Because of this, we try to live out the message of the Gospel by sharing Jesus’ love with our neighbors. There are many ways to be involved in what God is doing in the midst of this community and around the world.
Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry
This Ministry, also referred to as KARM, seeks to provide food, shelter, spiritual support, and rehabilitation for our homeless and at risk brothers and sisters. Groups from Faith frequently go to serve food and form new relationships.
Good Shepherd Center
The Good Shepherd Center provides food, clothing, and other resources to the poorest of the poor in Madisonville, Tennessee. In addition to having many volunteers who go down and serve at the center, Faith Lutheran Church also sponsors food and clothing drives throughout the year.
Tyson House
Tyson House is the joint Lutheran and Episcopalian campus ministry at the University of Tennessee. As a way to support our college students, Faith frequently serves meals on Sunday evenings.
Global Outreach
We support David Brondos, a missionary who faithfully serves in Mexico City. Faith Lutheran is also exploring more opportunities for global service in Jesus’ name; more information coming soon.
Faith Early Learning Center Readers
The Faith Early Learning Center is Faith Lutheran Church’s preschool. There are many older volunteers from Faith who go to the Center and read books to the kids.
Handy Faithfuls
The Hand Faithfuls are a group of people who are passionate about using their ability to do basic maintenance in and around the church.
