AIM Melody Simpkins
On December 1, 2006 Reverend Matthew Simpkins and Associate in Ministry Melody Simpkins began their call at Faith Lutheran Church. In July 2010, AIM Melody accepted a call to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta, GA.
Raised in Franklin, Tennessee, they were high school sweethearts. Melody was raised Roman Catholic. Matt was raised in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Franklin. Both have extensive outdoor ministry experience, serving on the Lutheridge staff. They were endorsed for ministry by the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) in America and attended Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. Their internship at Grace Lutheran Church in Boone, North Carolina concludedin July.
Melody was consecrated and Matt ordained on Saturday, January 6 at their home congregation of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Franklin, Tennessee.
The Simpkins have 2 sons, Ashton and Gabriel.
