Beyond Gathering For Worship, We Strive To Be A Community Where God’s Love Is Shared Through Fellowship, Growth and Service.

Who is Faith Lutheran Church? We maintain and foster a community where everyone is welcomed and reminded they are God’s beloved. We practice radical hospitality and inclusion. Whoever you are, there’s a place for you just as God made you.

We’re part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), the largest Lutheran body in the U.S. and part of the world’s largest Protestant tradition. Our faith is centered on grace—God’s unconditional love, freely given.

We are a Reconciling in Christ Congregation, publicly welcoming people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, as well as people of all races, ethnicities, ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome to worship, serve, and grow in faith with us.

Our Story

Faith Lutheran Church began as a mission-outreach of Knoxville-area Lutherans who saw a need for a Lutheran expression of God’s grace in the fast-growing Western edge of Knox County. Founded in 1977, we met at Farragut Primary School before building our church on Jamestown Boulevard.

Over the years Faith Lutheran Church has provided an important foundation in the lives of many families who grew up together in this church. We now enjoy seeing 3rd & 4th generations of families worshipping together alongside brand new worshippers. Today we cling to our mission statement identity: Love God, Love Others, Serve. Faith Lutheran Church is an important beacon of hope in the community, hosting the Shepherd of Hope Food Pantry, English Language Classes, Narcotics Anonymous recovery groups, and many efforts to care for the needs of those around us and grow in relationship together.

As God leads us into the future, we are becoming an important voice in the region that emphasizes God’s grace and love as our primary message in a world where love often feels in short supply. We welcome you to come home to the family of Faith and experience God’s unconditional love as we walk together and grow to be more like Jesus. Together, let’s Love God, Love Others, Serve.
