We would love for you to be a part of the Faith Family

Being a part of Faith Lutheran Church feels like having Christ-centered friends. We are a collection of sinners who yearn to get closer to God and each other. From worshipping together to catching up at events throughout the week, there are always ways to connect and build community.
“The criticism of suburban churches is that they turn inward. They care only for themselves and exist only to serve themselves.

Faith Lutheran Church is a suburban church that intentionally takes an alternative approach. We are outwardly turned. We serve the community and the world.

Our mission statement is simple: Love God. Love Others. Serve.

We strive to be like Jesus and are always concerned about our neighbor.

We feed the hungry with our Shepherd of Hope Food Pantry. We serve the homeless with ongoing visits to the Salvation Army shelters and the Knox Area Rescue Ministries, both on Broadway in downtown Knoxville. We have been on mission trips to Jamaica, Mexico, Mississippi and Southside Chicago. We support international ministries, such as a school in Guatemala, Mercy Ships in Africa and missionaries in Mexico. We are involved in local human trafficking prevention. We planted a Lutheran congregation in Loudon County.

There are many other outreach activities, as we are always seeking ways to reach out beyond the walls of our church with the heart of Jesus. We don’t exist for ourselves, we exist for others.

Being part of Faith Lutheran Church is to be infused with the spirit of loving and serving. Our faith is active, our congregation is warm, hopeful, lively and engaged.”

Life at FLC

Life at Faith Lutheran Church looks like more than just Sunday worship; it’s a full week of connection and shared faith. Many gather on Sundays, then reconnect during the week through Bible studies, serving in the food pantry, and participating in community outreach. People don’t just sit together; they serve, learn, and support one another in real, ongoing ways.

What makes this different from simply attending a service is the relationships; friends who actively encourage your walk with Christ and show up for each other. It truly feels like a second home where faith is lived out together.

Community & Relationships

People connect through small groups, shared meals, and serving side by side. Support looks like having ministry leaders, staff, and peers who are available, listen, and walk with you through real life. Programs like Faithful Forks bring people into small dinner groups that meet regularly to build deeper relationships. Outside of Sundays, many join ministry teams, help plan events, or simply spend time together. There are plenty of ways to get involved and find your people here.

Pastor Bob

Lead Pastor
Faith Lutheran Church isn’t perfect. It’s a group of real people with real lives, learning and growing together. Some weeks are easier than others, but there’s always space to show up as you are and be supported. It’s a community built on grace, not perfection.
